Photos from WOMadelaide 08

WOMadelaide (Womad = world of music and dance) was a 3 day event held at the Botanical Gardens. I went for the event on Sunday on 09 March... under 40 degrees heat. Was cool though... hehe. I got to hear music which I havent heard before. The tickets were sold out for this event and attracted about 40,000 people. Enjoy the photos!

Angus Watt's huge decorative flags have been a fixture at WOMADelaide since 1999. They serve as a form of shelter from the sun during the festival. heh. People can be desperate enough to hide under the shadow of these huge flags.

Fire sculptures from France. Cool stuff! Got the shock of my life when I first saw it though... it's flaming!!!

People hiding from the sun under the trees. And yes, there are actually tents. Amazing huh? But considering you have to stay there for about 12 hours (event started at 12 pm, ended at 12am around there), you'll like to be comfortable.

The crowd at the all-star performance. A lot of people! and they are very spontaneous.
